Arronding machine

Finishing machine

Arronding machine

alt.: milling machine, finishing machine

The milling machine is used to reprocess the cycloid wheel teeth of older small clocks to improve the interventions. Misses reach into the wheel tooth gaps and shape the tooth flanks. A metric adjustment screw with 10 substructures allows the smaller milling of the wheel circumference by 0.1 mm each. In addition to the arronding machine, the Swiss watchmaker Perrelet (1729-1829) also invented the planteur (to adjust the bearing between the bridge and the work plate). The drawer contains milling knives and inserts.
