Clock and windup device
The puja clock (Patent No: 714.893 from July 28, 1940 by Karl Jauch) is a clock and an automatic winding device. The main components are two pairs of tubes filled with alcohol. One of these tubes is heated from below by a heating resistor, so that the alcohol evaporates into the upper tube above the center of gravity. As a result, the system begins to rotate and winds the spring of a mechanical movement.
Production: Karl Jauch, Schwenningen, 3rd quarter of the 20th century.
