Model of a floor sundial
In this analemmatic sundial, the shadow rod must be movable. When placed on the current date, its shadow indicates Central European Time (CET).
This sundial was realized on Kardinal-Maurer-Platz in Püttlingen in front of the town hall. Standing on the date, one's shadow shows the approximate time. For daylight saving time CEST you have to add one hour.
